I’ve found it’s just like any habit – you need to do it, to form it. I know we can all think of a million reasons not to write. But you’re here for some tips, so here are my top 10 tips to keep writing:

Make a dedicated space or area for your writing

Turn off all distractions

Ask your family to respect your writing time is not to be disturbed

Work with good lighting

Work with the tools that make you happy – pen & paper or a computer

Have regular stretching or dancing breaks

Go for a nap or a walk to keep the creativity flowing

Drink plenty of water (it will make you get up to stretch those legs)

Use music to set your mood and the scene for your writing

Try to be consistent with when you write – this helps form a habit.
